Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions

We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

Do you want a meaningful part-time job where you meet people, make a difference, and gain valuable experience? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

We are looking for part-time employees for our citizen offices in Husby, Rinkeby, and Tensta.

Your role

As part of the Järva district administration's Citizen Service, you will work as a community advisor with the task of providing residents in the district with community information and personal guidance. Visitors can turn to the citizen office for support in various matters – for example, through community advisors, citizen hosts, budget and debt advisors, or consumer advisors.

We offer

As an employee with us, you have access to wellness benefits and the opportunity to take advantage of favorable offers from several gym chains and swimming pools. Read more about our benefits here - Employee Benefits - Stockholm City (https://start.stockholm/om-stockholms-stad/organisation/stadsdelsforvaltningar/jarva/).

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • Ongoing or completed university education as a social worker.
  • Good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with people in advisory or guiding roles.
  • Knowledge of the Office suite.
  • Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing).

To succeed in the role of community advisor, you need to be able to seek relevant information and convey it clearly and pedagogically. You enjoy meeting people with different needs and value good collaboration with colleagues. We are looking for someone who is engaged, takes initiative, enjoys continuous improvement, and is passionate about developing both yourself and the organization. A good attitude and a professional approach are some of the prerequisites for working within the Citizen Service unit.

Great importance is placed on your personal abilities and skills.

Your application

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis.

We recruit without a personal letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only consider your CV and a number of questions you will be asked to answer when applying for the position. We ask that you respond concretely and briefly to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.

Stockholm City works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thus counteracting discrimination.
